I have had the outrageous fun with one of my good friend’s sister Matric Dance Shoot at the end of 2016. Kulthoom, the amazingly angelic faced beauty who appeared very comfortable in front of the camera. Delivered some spectacular shots that expresses much quality and stunning editorial looks for 2016.
Kulthoom who grew up in Bookaap and Athlone Belgravia, Cape Town, was in the final year at Windsor High School with finals just around the corner. Now I can say I have the experience of going to “Windsor High School Matric Ball”.
We took some behind the scenes shots in Belgravia of Kulthoom getting glammed by her squad.
While waiting for “Kuli” to get all glammed up her family was very warm welcoming and had the most amazing savouries and desserts☺
Family portraits shooting while waiting on the arrival of the partner (the prince) to whisk her away to the ball.
I stole Kuli away from the family and decided to shoot some single portraits of her next door by the Church which had a very good Coral brick wall colour just for some contrast.
This is how it came out
As shooting I am thinking to myself, “What’s a real good top quality photograph if you haven’t got any raw materials and essentials in the background?”. So I went for the Street Style looks and with just raw minerals of Tar Road with street lamp poles and telephone lines for a more realistic feel to the editorial looks I wish to create.
Portraits of partners arrival.
Arrival to the castle Ball, the actual Dance.
All students are lined up outside the wall as each couple arrives and to show off what they are arriving in. I snapped a few moments of the Princess and Prince whilst waiting.
As time goes by I picked various spot locations at the venue and surroundings, and I drive my clients to deliver me some fierce shots.
